In Week 3 the work of canvassing at Clean Water Action has definitely become more simple than in the two weeks of training. The work has become more direct and I have had an easier time making and exceeding the expected quotas for fundraising on the week. I have found that keeping my fundraising pitch short and simple until people ask more complex questions leads to more success in the field. I have accepted responsibility in the form of being a driver to various sites which required insurance background checks, but other than that I am in the process of proving myself with the laborious field work of canvassing in the organization. It is very fun, being able to be outside and talk to thousands of people every week, but the protocol is very repetitive. Anyone have any tips on how to keep fresh on the day to day in and outs?
