As the venues I usually work are at Citi field, and the New York Mets are pff fpr twp weeks, Union Square Events (USE) is placing me in different locations for the time being. Earlier this week I was placed at the 9/11 Memorial Museum Cafe, and Public Fare, the venue at the Shakespeare Theatre in Central Park.
Along with a solo project that the company gave me, USE gave all the interns a group project, which was running a field day for the company employees and their young children. 5 weeks of planning later, the day finally arrived today. We had to work within a certain budget to buy games for the children, food for 50 people and alcohol for the people above 21. Needless to say, the water balloon fight was a smashing hit in the 95 degree weather with 85% humidity. Overall, its safe to say that field day 2016 was a success.
